“A Celina Looking Forward”

Attracting & Retaining Future Generations

Like much of Ohio, Mercer County has had to confront a constant trend of losing its young and newly-educated population.

I believe in a Celina that is safe and inviting for residents, businesses, and tourists.

About Me

My name is Eric Lochtefeld, a proud millennial running for Celina City Council.  I was raised, live and work in our community. My interest in local government began in high school, as a Celina High School and Tri Star graduate. I am passionate about Celina’s future generations.  As the current president of the Mercer County 4-H Advisory Committee, I see how important it is to inspire today's youth. That is why it worries me to see our community facing the constant trend of losing its young and newly-educated population to areas with higher population density.

I hope you’ll consider joining my campaign.

Help Us Get Started:

Attending City Council meetings while in high school sparked my interest in community involvement. Not only did I earn extra credit in government class, I learned so much about the political process and what it takes to manage, maintain, and improve a vibrant city like Celina.

Those insights and my passion for attracting and retaining future generation to our area drove me to run to be your next city council member.
